Words and figures. A socio-semiotic approach of the electoral poster
Journal Title: ESSACHESS - Journal for Communication Studies - Year 2015, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
We intend to analyze the triple articulation visual/verbal/figures in the visual frame of the contemporary culture. Our corpus is constituted by electoral messages (outdoors) from the last Romanian Parliamentary elections (December 2012) and web sites of the main political parties. The methodological approach will be based on a semiotic and discourse analysis of political advertising messages compared to commercial advertising in order to emphasize the co functioning of figures, images and slogans.
