WORK VALUES OF WHITE-COLLAR EMPLOYEES’ IN TERMS OF SOME DEMOGRAPHIC VARIABLES

Abstract
Work values defined as employees’ preferences and needs regarding their work life. The aim of this study is to determine whether work values differ according to demographic variables. In this respect the research was carried out 364 white-collar employees in Istanbul. Manhardt’s (1972) Work Values Inventory and Lyons et al.’s (2010) Work Values Scale were used to determine employees’ work values. It is found that work values differ significantly according to gender, position and education levels of employees.
