Workplace Humour Styles and Subordinate Work Attitudes of Telecommunication Companies

Abstract
We in this study, sought to examine the empirical link between workers humour style and subordinate work attitudes in Telecommunications Companies Port Harcourt. The population of the study consists of 137 Employees in five telecommunication companies the study adopted the cross-sectional survey design for analysis of the data. Empirical findings reveal that there is a positive significant relationship between workers humour style and subordinate work attitudes. We recommended that, in order for management to effectively partner with their subordinates, it was imperative however that they allowed for and encouraged the practice of positive humour within the organization and that the structure of the organization should be flexible enough to allow for ease of communication and relaxed interactions between managers and their subordinate
