Journal Title: Інноваційна економіка - Year 2017, Vol 71, Issue 9

Abstract

Purpose. The aim of the article is the assessment of the current system of state support to the agrarian sector of the EU countries and based on them to develop practical recommendations for their adaptation in Ukraine. Methodology of the research. The following methods are used in carrying out the research: general scientific methods of cognition, in particular, the historical and evolutionary method (in the study of the evolution of agricultural models in the countries-leaders, the transformation of the approaches of the states to the regulation of the agrarian sector of the economy and the modification of the Common Agricultural Policy of the EU); systematic and structural analysis and generalization of economic processes and phenomena (in the classification of goals, mechanisms and tools for supporting agriculture in post industrial countries of the world); analysis and synthesis (in the study of the system of state regulation of the agrarian sector of food markets). Findings. It has been established that there is a tendency towards the liberalization of food markets in the leading countries of the European Union and America. It was revealed that the issue of reducing the support of agricultural commodity producers and reducing the level of protection of the domestic market became relevant only after they achieved practical self-sufficiency, the presence of surpluses of meat resources that are exported to other countries. Originality. It is established that the system of state regulation of the agrarian sector of food markets has an integrated, multi-faceted nature with a significant number of levers, the use of which will contribute to the successful work of agricultural producers. Practical value. Implementation of the obtained results of the study will contribute to solving the problems of sustainable development of agriculture, ensuring its competitiveness on the domestic and foreign markets, internal food security and active participation in foreign economic activity.
