Journal Title: Przekłady Literatur Słowiańskich - Year 2019, Vol 9, Issue 2
Abstract
Why do we translate? From agency to the reception of translation Issue 9.2 of the journal „Translations of Slavic Literatures” is devoted to the broadly understood problem of the purpose of translation and is a continuation of the previous issue. The collected works consider the problem of the agency of the main actors of translation (as translators and authors), the role of the various institutions in the process of translation, the question of the reception of the translated works, as well as the purpose of translation in the context of regionalism and multiculturalism.
