Praca zawiera informacje dotyczące prac badawczych Instytutu Technologii Materiałów Politechniki Poznańskiej oraz Fabryki Produkcji Specjalnej w Bolechowie. Przedstawione prace są związane z technologią wytwarzania amunicji artyleryjskiej na potrzeby polskiego przemysłu obronnego. Wybrane zagadnienia przedstawione w publikacji dotyczą materiałów na łuski o zwiększonej wytrzymałości oraz produkcji i technologii łusek kalibru 120 i 125 mm.
