XML Technologies in Computer Assisted Learning and Testing Systems
Journal Title: Annals. Computer Science Series - Year 2009, Vol 7, Issue 1
Abstract
The learning and assessment activities have undergone major changes due to the development of modern technologies. The computer-assisted learning and testing has proven a number of advantages in the development of modern educational system. The paper suggests a solution for the computer-assisted testing, which uses XML technologies, a solution that could make the basis for developing a learning computer-assisted system.

How does the Shift-insertion sort behave when the sorting elements follow a Normal distribution?
The present paper examines the behavior of Shift-insertion sort (insertion sort with shifting) for normal distribution inputs and is in continuation of our earlier work on this new algorithm for discrete distribution inp...
Computer applications in clinical psychology
The computer-assisted analysis is not currently a novelty, but a necessity in all areas of psychology. A number of studies that examine the limits of the computer assisted and analyzed interpretations, also its advantage...
Alternative Estimator for Multivariate Location and Scatter Matrix in the Presence of Outlier
It is generally known that in estimating location and scatter matrix of multivariate data when outliers are presents, the method of classical is not robust. The Maximum Likelihood Estimator (MLE) is always very sensitive...
An Improved Procedure for Fourier Regression Analysis
Fourier regression is a method used to represent time series by a set of elementary functions called basis. This work was used to propose a new procedure for Fourier regression which has the ability to reveal the period...
Bayesian Classification of High Dimensional Data with Gaussian Process using Different Kernels
The study investigates asymptotic classification of high dimensional data by adopting Gaussian Process, five different kernels(covariance functions) were employed and compared to showcase the outperformed kernel asymptot...
