Υποτροπή πλειόμορφου αδενώματος παρωτίδας. Παρουσίαση περίπτωσης

Abstract
ΠΕΡΙΛΗΨΗ: Το πλειόμορφο αδένωμα, γνωστό και ως μικτός όγκος, αποτελεί το πιο συχνά απαντώμενο νεόπλασμα των σιελογόνων αδένων και το 60-70% όλων των όγκων της παρωτίδας. Το πλειόμορφο αδένωμα της παρωτίδας μπορεί να λάβει μεγάλες διαστάσεις ενώ, αν και καλόηθες, εμφανίζει συχνά υποτροπή μετά την αρχική χειρουργική αφαίρεσή του. Η αντιμετώπιση μιας τέτοιας υποτροπής αποτελεί πρόκληση για τον ΣΓΠΧ καθώς αυξάνει τον κίνδυνο βλάβης του προσωπικού νεύρου, εκ νέου υποτροπής και κακοήθους εξαλλαγής του όγκου. Η χειρουργική τεχνική που θα χρησιμοποιηθεί σχετίζεται άμεσα με την πιθανότητα υποτροπής του πλειόμορφου αδενώματος ενώ η μετεγχειρητική ακτινοθεραπεία φαίνεται να παίζει σημαντικό ρόλο στην αντιμετώπισή της. Ο σκοπός αυτού του άρθρου είναι να παρουσιάσει μια περίπτωση υποτροπής ενός παρωτιδικού πλειόμορφου αδενώματος σε μια γυναίκα ασθενή 27 ετών, καθώς και τον τρόπο που αντιμετωπίστηκε.
