Zarys metodologii ekonomiki bezpieczeństwa

Abstract

The article is a voice in a scientific discussion taking place for several years concerning the military sciences’ identity as a discipline and field of study. The authors’ intention is to outline methodological foundations of one of military studies. i.e. security economics, within whose framework the principles, forms and methods of national economy preparation and functioning to fulfill tasks for security and defence of the state are studied. Moreover, there are analysed and assessed the state of the country’s economic security in all dimensions of its creation. The article includes scientific genesis of security economics, its subject and object of research and connections with other sciences. This brings closer its attributes, i.e. language, research methods, functions and pragmatism. The article also presents briefly main academic and research centres which deal with economic – defence findings and shows outstanding security economics’ representatives. Finally, the basic defence economics’ issues are discussed which may be a framework research programme of contemporary security economics.
