Zastosowanie programów obliczeniowych typu CAD w projektowaniu stopy protezowej

Abstract
In the case of foot amputation it is necessary to provide a patient with a prosthesis in order to restore proper gait pattern and enable them to return to physical activity and self-care activities. The aim of the paper is to present our own concept of a prosthetic foot and the possibilities of using CAD programmes for its design. Materials of high resistance to deformations and high fatigue strength must be used for the manufacture of a prosthetic foot. In order to assess the above parameters, a 3D model of a prosthetic foot and MES simulations in the Invertor environment were used. It is impossible to design a prosthetic foot excluding the foot biomechanics and human gait characteristics, therefore the gait analysis with the use of the BTS Smart system with passive light markers reflecting the red light was applied.
