Zespół Cushinga a choroby układu sercowo-naczyniowego

Abstract
Przewlekła hiperkortyzolemia związana jest z licznymi powikłaniami ze strony układu sercowo-naczyniowego. Badania populacyjne wskazują na zwiększoną śmiertelność w grupie pacjentów z zespołem Cushinga. Głównymi przyczynami śmiertelności są: choroba niedokrwienna serca, niewydolność serca, choroba zakrzepowo-zatorowa. W artykule przedstawiono patomechanizmy prowadzące do zaburzeń metabolicznych i schorzeń układu krążenia towarzyszących hiperkortyzolemii.
