ZnTe-based UV sensors
Journal Title: Semiconductor Physics, Quantum Electronics and Optoelectronics - Year 2016, Vol 19, Issue 2
Abstract
A р-ZnTe/n-CdSe heterojunction was used for making polycrystalline ZnTe-based UV sensors. The heteropair components have the same crystal structure and close lattice parameters. ZnTe and CdSe were grown using thermal evaporation and quasi-closed space condensation. A transparent current collecting electrode for the surface-barrier structure of р-ZnTe/n-CdSe heterojunction was made of degenerate p-Cu1.8S. Surface relief of ZnTe grown on different substrates was studied with scanning atomic force microscopy. The energy band offset diagrams of heterojunction are built and photosensitivity spectra are presented.

Surface enhanced imaging and IR spectroscopy of the biological cells on the nanostructured gold film
New approach for optical imaging, structural study and cell cultivation based on the effect of the enhancement of optical signals from biomolecules and biological cells near nanostructured rough gold surface is proposed....
Dynamical screening function and plasmons in the wide HgTe quantum wells at high temperatures
The dynamical screening function of two-dimensional electron gas in a wide HgTe quantum well (QW) has been numerically modeled in this work. Calculations were performed in the Random Phase Approximation (RPA) framework a...
Quantitative optical trapping and optical manipulation of micro-sized objects
An optical tweezers technique is used for ultraprecise micromanipulation to measure positions of micrometer scale objects with a precision down to the nanometer scale. It consists of a high performance research microscop...
The influence of the exciton non-radiative recombination in silicon on the photoconversion efficiency. 1. The case of a long Shockley–Read–Hall lifetime
By comparison of the experimental dependence of bulk lifetime in silicon on the doping and excitation levels with theoretical calculations, it has been shown that a new recombination channel becomes operative when Shockl...
Optical properties of ternary alloys MgZnO in infrared spectrum
Properties of thin films of ternary alloys Mg х Zn 1–х O on the optically-anisotropic Al 2 O 3 substrates in the area of “residual rays” of film and substrate are first investigated using the method of infrared spectrosc...
