Zotero: Bibliographic Reference Management Software

Abstract

A researcher generally makes use of different sources of information for their research work. All the sources collected, consulted and used as citations and bibliographies are to be managed not only for the present research but also for the future studies. And research results are communicated through journal articles or in the form of conference / seminar papers both at national and international levels. Publishers and conference paper editors insist on a particular standard/ style of presentation of citations and bibliographies. Managing the available sources manually is a herculean task. At present there are many open source software packages available for easier and systematic management of sources. I.e. Reference Management Software (RMS). Here an attempt has been made to highlight the features and functions of ‘ZOTERO’ – a Bibliographic Reference Management Software.
