Networking and Resource Sharing in Academic Libraries

Abstract
In today’s informative world, networking and resource sharing is an important factor. This paper mainly highlights the importance of resource sharing in academic libraries. It examines the elements, benefits, challenges and impact of networking and resource sharing in academic library services. This research study concluded that library networking and resource sharing is possible through cooperation and structure of consortium. Finally, it is concluded that to fulfil the user’s expectation, libraries must face up to the reality of resources and information synergy.
