Abstract
The aim of the study is the theoretical and empirical presentation of the sustainable development of transport, with particular emphasis on public transport. The article presents the Plan of sustainable development of public transport for Pabianice, for the years 2017-2025 and the project - Modernization and development of urban transport in Pabianice, which aim to: 1. Ensure the functioning of public transport according to the principles of sustainable development of transport, the share of public transport in the transport - 25-50%. 2. Sustainability of the urban and agglomeration transport system, by creating conditions for increasing the number of journeys by public transport.
