Abstract
Background: Geriatric patients of open hernia repair have comorbidities., Impaired cardiorespiratory reserves ultrasoundguided regional blocks nowadays very popular Aims & objectives: to explore USG guided double TAP block with conventional anaesthesia technique Observations and results: Double TAP block provided less sensorimotor blockage,& prolonged Postoperative analgesia then unilateralspinal anaesthesia Conclusion:USG guided double TAP block can be alternative to unilateral spinal anaesthesia in geriatric patients for open unilateral hernia repair.
