Abstract
Issuing to validade the database created for the research we will have with industries alocated in the national territory, we have sorted out two companies for the evaluation “in loco” with the objective of obtaining a direction towards the method adopted to be applied to the chosen universe. The objective is to validade the database observing if points which portrait the reality were portraited as well as the identification of the variables considered by the industries in the adequation processes of their programmes of environmental management. Our research was created to investigate relevant points which are detached in the strategic analysis - SWOT analysis- as the industries in the paper and celulose sector have suffered several criticisms from the consumer marked regarding social and ethical responsibility as well as factors related to the impact generated to the environment by the process of transformation by the sector.The analysis of Strong Points, Weak Points, Possibilities and Threats is the basis for the creation of strategic plans.
