70 lat „Przeglądu Historyczno-Oświatowego”

Abstract
“Historical-Educational Review” appeared for the first time in 1947 as an organ of the Commission of Polish Teachers’ Union to Research the History of Education in Poland. Prof. Jan Hulewicz became the editor of the journal. After a few copies were issued, the activity of the journal was stopped by the authorities. It was reissued in 1959. Then the editor-in-chief was prof. Ryszard Wroczyński and in 1987 prof. Marian Walczak. The journal publishes articles and materials which refer to the history of the pedagogical thought. It cooperates with experienced and novice scholars. For several years it came out under the patronage of the Polish Educational Research Association. Currently it is published again by Polish Teachers’ Union. The quarterly has its own website where a lot of copies have been put. It is registered on the base of ERIH (European Reference Index for the Humanities). The journal also includes the registration of articles in the electronic identification system DOI (digital object identifier). The editorial team and all the authors wish to continually raise the standard of the journal and strive to increase its readership among all for whom the oeuvre of the pedagogical thought is important.
