A CONCEPT AND A WORD: GENDER DIFFERENCES BETWEEN LOGICAL CATEGORIES OF "GOOD" AND "EVIL"

Abstract
The article deals with the issue of concepts "good" and "evil" in the English fairy tales by authors. The brief survey of the notions "map of the world" and "concept" in modern cognate linguistics has been conducted and the elements of the map of the world have been specified in the article. The author focuses on gender aspect of concept presentation in English literary works taking into account language peculiarities between male and female. The description of psycholinguistic factors affecting the usage of above-mentioned concepts by representatives of different genders is singled out. Lexical units to define concepts of "good" and "evil" as well as the examples of their lexico-semantic presentation in the fairy tales have been selected from the texts and studied by the author.
