A Criticism of Democracy and Media Relationship “The Illusion of Freedom in The Digital Age”

Abstract

The aim of this study is to focus on the positive outcomes in democracy and media relations, as well as the presence of psychological situations. Forms of power are full of socio-political life and areas of reflection. In addition to the debates of affirmative–action and emphasis on democracy, this work was created to emphasize the limitations of action. It is used to reflect political desires and democratic action rhetoric, reflecting political desires and democratic action rhetoric, and the idea that participants-user individuals cannot participate independently of their subjective values and judgments in political participation in the political existence line and social media communication, and that the majority, political culture, and relational identities are not referenced. This study, which has qualitative research and related literature research on democracy and media, emphasizes the functionalization of subjective values and desires for citizen-user individuals in terms of media-democracy. Therefore, in addition to the media's strengthening aspects of democracy, the function of feeding and producing beliefs of power and power and maintaining the status quo has been processed as the main theme. In this study, which is discussed from the perspective of Political Psychology, the perception of desire and freedom should be considered important in the relationship between media and democracy.
