A Fuzzy Control Chart Approach for Attributes and Variables
Journal Title: Engineering, Technology & Applied Science Research - Year 2018, Vol 8, Issue 5
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a new approach for fuzzy control charts. The procedure is based on the fundamentals of Shewhart control charts and the fuzzy theory. The proposed approach is developed in such a way that the approach can be applied in a wide variety of processes. The main characteristics of the proposed approach are: The type of the fuzzy control charts are not restricted for variables or attributes, and the approach can be easily modified for different processes and types of fuzzy numbers with the evaluation or judgment of decision maker(s). With the aim of presenting the approach procedure in details, the approach is designed for fuzzy c quality control chart and an example of the chart is explained. Moreover, the performance of the fuzzy c chart is investigated and compared with the Shewhart c chart. The results of simulations show that the proposed approach has better performance and can detect the process shifts efficiently.

An Enhanced Binary Classifier Incorporating Weighted Scores
In this study, an approach is being proposed which will predict the output of an observation based on several parameters which employ the weighted score classification method. We will use the weighted scores concept for...
Anti-Swing Fuzzy Controller Applied in a 3D Crane System
It is well known that fuzzy logic can be used in the control of complex systems described by highly nonlinear mathematical models. However, the main difficulty in the design of a fuzzy controller comes with the adjustmen...
Modeling and Analysis of a Cascaded Battery-Boost Multilevel Inverter Using Different Switching Angle Arrangement Techniques
Multilevel inverters have the capability to produce an AC staircase output waveform without using a bulky passive filter. Therefore, the multilevel inverters are gaining more and more popularity, among the different type...
Numerical and Experimental Efficiency Evaluation of a Counter-Rotating Vertical Axis Wind Turbine
This paper investigates the concept of a concentric counter-rotating vertical axis wind turbine (VAWT), consisting of a two stage vertical H-type turbine with three blades on each stage. The model has an inner and an out...
Optimal Allocation of DSTATCOM in Distribution Network Using Whale Optimization Algorithm
This paper deals with a new approach implemented to decrease power losses and improve voltage profile in distribution networks using Distribution STATic COMpensator (DSTATCOM). DSTATCOM location can be determined by the...
