Method: one hundred and fifty patient with clinically diagnosis of appendicitis operated after investigation were included in study. Clinical feature, Alvarado score and ultrasound were used for evolution of appendicitis that was confirmed using histopathology. Result: majority of patients presented with fever, vomiting, shifting pain, anorexia and leukocytosis. sensitivity and specificity of Alvarado score as diagnostic tool was84.5% and 22% respectively.
