A RARE CASE OF AMYANDS HERNIA WITH MUCOCELE APPENDIX

Abstract
Amyand’s hernia is one of the rare conditions that occurs in adult where the inguinal hernia sac contains appendix as its content. Mucocele appendix on the other hand is another rare entity and rare cause for appendicitis. In mucocele appendix the lumen of the appendix is dilated and filled with mucus substance. Our case presented with both amyand’s hernia and mucocele which is rarely reported in literature.
