A STUDY ON THE LUNAR PERIODICITY OF INSECT ABUNDANCE USING LIGHT TRAP

Abstract

The present study aimed to understand the lunar periodicity of insect abundance using light trap. It mainly involves handpicking of insects that are coming under light for a period of one month. The collected insects are preserved by using 70%. Isopropyl alcohol in specimen bottles labelled with dated and day. The observation period continues about a month.
