A UTILIZAÇÃO DOS MAPAS CONCEITUAIS NA FORMAÇÃO CONTINUADA DOS PROFESSORES UNIVERSITÁRIOS

Abstract

This research aims to identify the contributions of concept maps in the continuing education of university teachers, in a large private higher education institution in the state of Paraná. In the theoretical framework, some definitions about concept maps, their construction and use in the classroom were presented. This research was developed from the seminar “Theory and Practice in Teacher Training”, with the participation of eight university teachers who were doctoral students, in a process of continuous training in Education. The research was characterized as action research. Based on the concept maps produced by the doctoral students and made available in the virtual environment of the university, an analysis of these materials was carried out in order to identify the contributions of their use and the applications on the teachers’ daily teaching activities. The analysis of the results revealed the contributions of the use of concept maps and their importance for the teaching learning process.
