Abordaje de un caso de Ansiedad con terapia Breve Estratégica

Abstract
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is defined by a state of constant, uncontrollable worry and anticipatory anxiety. It is linked to adverse effects on an individual's mental, social, and overall health, as well as to nonspecific bodily pain, all of which interfere with daily activities and social relationships. GAD is also associated with frequent doctor visits, self-medication, and increased consumption of alcohol and addictive substances. This case study describes a 22-year-old woman diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, with the aim of applying a therapeutic intervention through brief strategic therapy. A qualitative methodology was applied, using a single-case design with psychotherapeutic intervention. The care and treatment in this case were clinically and therapeutically significant, resulting in a full remission of anxiety symptoms. The study concludes that brief strategic therapy was effective for the treatment of generalized anxiety in this case.
