ABOUT CHALLENGES OF TEACHING NATIONAL HISTORY IN SOUTHERN CAUCASUS

Abstract
History is the main link between generations through which the historical memory of peoples and Nations is preserved and transmitted. Тeaching of national history carries ideological potential. Тeaching of national history is conceptually related to national consciousness and thinking. Teaching of national history contributes to familiarizing the younger generation with the past of their nation, as well as its cultural heritage. This topic is very relevant, it addresses the challenges that are typical in the teaching of history for the South Caucasus region. overcoming these challenges will provide an opportunity to educate a citizen with an active civic position that can overcome all the difficulties that can arise during the socialization of the individual who owns the art of coexistence.
