ACCENTUATION OF NONDERIVATIVE ADVERBS IN LESIA UKRAYINKA’S «LISOVA PISNIA» («FOREST SONG»)

Abstract

The article deals with the generalization and description of accent peculiarities of nonderivative adverbs from the poem «Forest song». The analysis of nonderivative words differs from that of derived. This happens because it appears impossible to identify either the accent type in the word-formative pair or the mobility of stress. That is why the main feature to be analyzed is the syntagmatic characteristic of stress, i.e. the stressed syllable. It is not usually taken into consideration during analyzing derived words where the main feature of stress is its paradigmatic characteristic i.e. the stressed morpheme. According to the fulfilled research, nonderivative adverbs could possess either the first or the second syllable stressed. This phenomenon is connected with the history of each lexeme. In addition, the coinciding of analyzed stress with the modern one confirms the connection between different stages of accent literary norm.
