According to the USA Official Archives Restructuring Korea After the 2nd World War

Abstract
This study is based on the official archive documents recorded by Stanford University Hoover Institute Archives. According to the archive document used for this study, American Military Government in Korea has focused on the social activities in Korea, especially education and public information activities, shortly after the Japanese Invasion Period come to an end. The first activities of the Military Government have been proceeded during the following years. These first activities which have been implemented after September 1945 in Korea, have been evaluated positively in Korean society.
