ACCOUNTING THE PECULIARITIES OF THE WORLD OCEAN FLOOR STRUCTURE WHEN SELECTING THE ZONE OF GAS HYDRATE FORMATION

Abstract

Gas hydrate deposits in the World Ocean are considered as an additional non-traditional source of hydrocarbons. The dependence of the gas hydrates deposits spread in different types of host rock from the structures of the ocean bottom. The coincidence much of gas hydrate deposits to the zones of joints of continental plates and oceanic depressions was noted. Thermodynamic zones of distribution of gas hydrate deposits are considered. Presented thermobaric parameters of gas hydrate formation, obtained by artificial means. Depending on the structural characteristics of gas hydrate deposits in the oceans, surrounding rocks lithology, the characteristics of geological structures and tectonic crust allocated 5 types of gas hydrate deposits.
