ACTIVE POWER FILTER CONTROL WITH THE USE OF THE METHOD FOR THE ENERGY FLOW DIRECTION DETERMINATION IN THE ELECTRIC CIRCUIT WITH THE NONLINEAR LOAD
Journal Title: Електромеханічні і енергозберігаючі системи - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 39
Abstract
Purpose. The purpose of this paper is to determine the direction of the energy flow in electrical systems with non-linear load for the improvement of the method of controlling power active filters under conditions of voltage distortion of the supply network. Originality. On the grounds of the analytical analysis of an electric circuit by a thyristor the method for the determination of the direction of the energy flow in the electric circuit with a nonlinear load on the basis of the analysis of the sign of the active power corresponding component is proposed. Methodology. It is demonstrated that the correspondence of the sign of the load active power component to the sign of the same component of the net-work active power signifies that the corresponding voltage harmonic is caused by the network distortion. If the signs do not coincide, the corresponding voltage harmonic is caused by a nonlinear load. Consequently, harmonics due to distortion of the network are excluded from the harmonic composition of the voltage. Thus, the cosine and sinus harmonic components of the n-th harmonic voltage were determined without taking into account the voltage components caused by the distortions of the power supply network. Results. The simulation in the mathematical package of the system under study, as well as the analysis of the obtained numerical data, showed the efficiency of the proposed method and the possibility of its use for the improvement of active power filter control with the integration of the separation system into the system of compensator control.
