ADMINISTRATIVE ACTIVITIES OF NATIONAL POLICE ORGANS AS A PUBLIC CONTROL OBJECT

Abstract
The article is devoted to the actual issues related to the administrative activities of the National Police bodies at the present stage as objects of public control. The central executive body - the National Police is called to serve society and must ensure the protection of human rights and freedoms, counteract crime, maintain public safety and order. Public control over the bodies of the National Police is carried out by the public in accordance with the procedure established by law in certain forms and limits in order to protect citizens, organizations, society and the state from possible negative consequences. Ukraine, proclaiming itself a democratic and law-governed state, has pledged to form a system of public control over law-enforcement bodies adhering to universally accepted norms and principles. Transformation of the system of public control is taking place today. The conditions in which our country appeared today forced us to reformat and lead to an understanding of the need to change the basic views on the functioning of the law enforcement system, the implementation of law enforcement activities in favor of a model of priority of responding to civil society requests in law enforcement activities of state bodies with their reorientation to provide service and legal assistance in the sphere of protection of rights, freedoms, legitimate interests of citizens, together with the development of institutions of civil self-organization and control.
