Aerodynamic Interference between Oscillating Lifting Surfaces and Fuselage Part 2: Some Applications of Oscillating Lifting Surface Theory
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2014, Vol 6, Issue 1
Abstract
This is the second article of a series that deals with the calculation of the aerodynamic unsteady forces on lifting surfaces. It presents some new important details on the lifting surface theory that performs oscillations in subsonic flow. These features will be applied to the aerodynamic response to certain kind of gusts and to the flapping wing calculations.

Buckling of Flat Thin Plates under Combined Loading
This article aims to provide a quick methodology to determine the critical values of the forces applied to the central plane of a flat isotropic plate at which a change to the stable configuration of equilibrium occurs....
AC1 Wing
The AC1 wing replaces the old wing of the wind tunnel model AEROTAXI, which has been made at scale 1:9. The new wing is part of CESAR program and improves the aerodynamic characteristics of the old one. The geometry of t...
Scaling Method of Existing Aircraft
This paper presents a method of current aircraft scaling down, on the assumption of the same No. Mach, same force and moment coefficients and same mass ratio.
Verification of Checking of the Validity and Effectiveness of Damage
This paper presents a methodology for identifying some stress concentrators based on the modal analysis performed using MSC Patran and MSC Nastran programs. The influence of a beam crack on its own frequency is practical...
Trim horizontal stabilizer for improving aircraft performances
In order to have a smooth movement between the trim horizontal stabilizer and the posterior fuselage, with a small influence on the aircraft performance, we had to envision such a mechanism which made the entire trim hor...
