АКТУАЛЬНОСТЬ ПРОТЕЗИРОВАНИЯ АМПУТИРОВАННЫХ НИЖНИХ КОНЕЧНОСТЕЙ В ГРУЗИИ

Abstract
The article gives summary statistics for National Center for Disease Control and Public Health of Georgia (NCDC) on the incidence of diabetes in Georgia, as well as different data held in Georgia urgent and elective amputations of limbs for 2014-2015 years. The article briefly describes the clinical development diabetic ulcers and diabetic foot, indicates the risk of development of diabetic gangrene followed with the amputation of the lower extremities. Was proved the influence of lower limb amputations on the health and quality of life of patients with diabetes. Substantiated the connection between a decrease in the lethality of complications of diabetes mellitus and prosthetics of amputated limbs. Unfortunately, in Georgia at the moment not engaged in creation of corrective orthopedic aids, as well as prostheses for full amputated or partially amputated lower limbs. Proceeding from the urgency of the problem, the authors of the article point out the need to develop medical and industrial aspects of prosthetics of lower limbs in Georgia and to the creation of theoretical foundations for the manufacture of lower limb prostheses and special corrective agents.
