Abstract
This article shows, through direct reference of two censi, how population of Cehegín develops since 1495, which is the date of the first, although this is centrated only to know how many men was ready for war, for this reason, it is not reliable. The second manuscript wants to show the amount of gentlemen in Cehegín in the age of Philippe the Fourth of Spain. There will be to wait for the age of Floridablanca to find a census made with a more reliable method.
