ALTERNATIVE ENERGY IN CHILE: RISKS AND PROSPECTS FOR INVESTORS

Abstract
The article analyzes the potential of alternative energy development in Chile. The author reveals the main goals and directions of alternative energy development in this country, considers the prospects for further use of alternative energy sources on the scale of energy supply of the country. The greatest attention is paid to the generalization of positive and negative consequences of programs for the development of solar energy: the author highlights the advantages and disadvantages of this solution for the development of Latin American region, analyzes its impact on the economy of the country.
