Alzheimer Hastalığı, Vasküler Demans ve Hafif Kognitif Etkilenmede Plazma Homosistein, Vitamin B12 ve Folat Seviyeleri

Abstract
Amaç: Alzheimer hastalığı(AH) ve vasküler demanslarda(VD) plazma total homosistein(Hs) seviyeleri artmaktadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı demanslarda serum Hs seviyelerinin ve Hs biyolojik göstergesi olan folat ve vitamin B12 seviyelerinin incelenmesidir. Metod: Yirmisekiz Serebro vasküler hastalığı(SVH) olan hasta, 22 VD, 51 Alzheimer hastası, 20 hafif kognitif etkilenme(HKE) ve 25 sağlıklı kontrol grubu plazma Hs, vitamin B12, folat seviyeleri yönünden incelenmiştir. Bütün hastalar ve kontrol grubu yaş, cinsiyet, eğitim düzeyi ve plazma Hs, folat, vitamin B12 seviyeleri yönünden karşılaştırılmıştır. Bulgular: Plazma Hs seviyeleri kontrol grubuyla (9.9±2.1 µmol/L) ve AH (14.2±3.1 µmol/L) olan grupla karşılaştırıldığında VD olanlarda önemli derecede yüksek bulunmuştur(17.8±5.5 µmol/L p
