Amyloidosis in association with neoplastic diseases: A case series and review of literature
Journal Title: Medpulse International Journal of Pathology - Year 2017, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
Amyloidosis is an extracellular eosinophilic substance, which is usually associated with infections, chronic diseases or malignancies. In malignant disorders these are deposited in the main tumor substance itself, but very rarely in the draining lymph nodes. As in the following case series the tumor itself didn’t show such deposits but in all the cases these were exclusively seen in the lymph nodes. The lymph nodes also did not show any metastatic tumor deposits.
