An analytical study of Mirzadeh Eshghi’s verse and prose plays

Abstract
Mirzadeh Eshghi is one of the influential individuals in Iranian poetry that was admired during his life too in sociopolitical and journalistic domains. Although his works have been explored many times by researchers and literary scholars, no scientific study has been done on his life and his literary abilities, especially with regard to his plays in the domain of Iranian drama and he has not been analytically explored and introduced. This study explores seven pays i.e. Dastane Bichare Zadeh (The Story of the Born Miserable), Kafane Siah (Black Shroud), Rastakhize Salatine Iran (Resurrection of the Iranian Kings), Halvaol Foghara (Halva of the Poor), Bache Geda va Doctore Nikookar (Beggar Child and the Benefactor Doctor), Theater in the Meeting, and Ideal written by Mirzadeh Eshghi during 1914-1923. Each play is explored in terms of playwriting skill and knowledge in a structured manner. The finding are based on interpretational and analytical reading of the plays and library notes and indicate that the playwright’s political and journalistic life have undoubtedly impacted the production of the structure and content of his plays.
