Journal Title: The Journal of International Social Research - Year 2015, Vol 8, Issue 40

Abstract

The ascension experience which is seen in primitive beliefs, legends and monotheistic religions is also presents in oral culture and different literary genres. This magic voyage which attracts human interests is one of the most used themes in Latife Tekin’s novels. It is seen that ascension experience is presented within social themes by a magical realism comment. This motif is presented by mythological connotation in Tekin’s novels and this approach makes possible the archetypal method. In this way writers Sevgili Arsız Ölüm, Berci Kristin Çöp Masalları and Muinar novels which present ascension experience are analyzed by archetypal method.
