AN INVESTIGATION ON THE LEVELS OF JOB SATISFACTIONS OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY TEACHERS ACCORDING TO SOME VARIABLES

Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to point out the job satisfaction of science teachers in primary educations. Correlative and comparative survey model and ramdom sample approach are used in this study. The sample of the research is composed of 204 Science and Technology teachers working in Istanbul. Form of the Teacher’s Personal Properties and Minnesota Work Satisfaction Questionnary Scale (MSQ) are used for collecting data. There is a significant difference in job satisfaction scale points for the variables the kind of school, having a car, paying rent for the house, existence of another teacher in the family, having a master degree, and advising to became science teacher to others. On the contrary, for the variables gender, age, marital status, having children, number of children, years in service, having in service training, number of schools she/he worked in, working as a manager, university graduation branch, having an extra job which makes income, sort of extra job, extra income no significant difference is found in job satisfaction scale points.
