Abstract
Rozwój społeczny jest współcześnie traktowany jako jeden z głównych filarów rozwoju prawidłowo funkcjonujących gospodarek. Jego pomiar jest możliwy, ale niejednoznaczny. Ze względu na brak uniwersalnego zestawu mierników zasadniczym problemem pozostaje kwantyfikacja obszaru badawczego. Zaprezentowane w artykule rozważania teoretyczne oraz empiryczne wyniki badań własnych mogą stanowić przyczynek do szerszej naukowej dyskusji w tym zakresie.
