Analysis of a Plasma Layer Effects on the Communication Space-Craft on its Way to be Accommodated on One of the Orbits

Journal Title: Libyan Journal of Engineering Science and Technology - Year 2024, Vol 4, Issue 1

Abstract

One of the main issues facing satellites in earth's orbit is the dissipation of electrostatic charge. Because of the accumulation of energetic plasma constituents, they may develop very high negative potential (up to tens of kV) under energetic plasma circumstances, which might cause both short-term blackouts and long-term damage to onboard electronics. Uneven charged state in the hot plasma environment and the solar wind plasma environment of the satellite panels. According to the matlab program results, solar panels' charging balancing potential and inter-panel charging differences are low in the solar wind plasma environment, which has little effect on the satellite's regular functioning. However, if some areas of the satellite unexpectedly come into contact with highly hot plasma while it is in this environment, in this paper we studied the effect of the solar plasma wind on the central body of the satellite as well as the panels, taking into account proximity and remoteness of panels in relation to the central body.
