Analysis of higher education in order to improve planning of training specialists

Abstract
The article analyzes higher education in Ukraine as a form of economic activity. The author studies the dynamics of socio-economic indicators for the period from 1990 to 2015, which shows that against the background of long-term social and economic crisis it has been the improvement of higher education indicators – intensive development of the network of higher education institutions and the number of students that grounds the task of comprehensive study and planning of the development of higher education in the coming years. It has been proved that the unstable state of the national higher education system of Ukraine is associated with significant difficulties with contingent of students, which appeared in recent years. The author proves that in-depth scientific analysis of economic conditions in the field of education, particularly higher education, is essential for effective planning and state funding of education system.
