Analysis of Pharmaceutical Excipient MCC Avicel PH102 Using Compaction Equations
Journal Title: Strojnicky casopis - Journal of Mechanical Engineering - Year 2016, Vol 66, Issue 1
Abstract
This paper focuses on the characterization of the tabletting process and analysis one of the most common pharmaceutical excipients MCC Avicel PH102 by Heckel, Kawakita, Cooper-Eaton and Adams compaction equations. Experimental material was determined by measuring its parameters as particle size distribution, angle of wall friction and flow properties and for more detailed characteristics of the material particles, microscopy images of the powder before and after compressing were created.

Studies on Improvement of Performance of Compression Ignition Engine Fuelled with Mixture of Honge Biodiesel and Tire Pyrolysis Oil
The biodiesel has lower volatility and is costlier than the fossil diesel. Hence it is necessary to add a low cost fuel which has higher volatility, with the diesel. The tire pyrolysis oil (TPO) produced from waste tire...
A Paradigm for the Analysis of Preloaded Bolted Joints
The purpose of this paper is to present a paradigm, or guide, to the analysis of preloaded bolted joints made using multiple bolts. Classical analysis methods are applied to the interaction of the joint elements subjec...
Identification of Fatigue Cracks on the Basis of Measurable Changes in System Dynamics
In order to obtain correct experimental results, fatigue strength tests carried out on the basis of a measurement setup using dynamic excitation generated by inertial force require test completion criterion to be speci...
Stress Analysis of Dental Implant Inserted in the Mandible
The aim of the paper is to obtain the values of dental implant stress analysis. The dental implant was inserted in the part of mandible bone. Stress analysis was carried out using the Finite Elements Method and simplif...
