ANALYSIS OF THE COGNITIVE ACTIVITY OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS AT PHYSICS LESSONS

Abstract

An important role in the modern system of physical education is played by the formation of students’ skills and habits of applying the acquired knowledge in practical activities. Universality of physical knowledge and research methods makes it possible to show the connection of theoretical material with practice at the level of general scientifi c methodology. The importance of knowledge in physics in the formation of students’ abilities and skills to solve problems arising in the course of practical human activity can not be overestimated. But, in recent years, the interest of students in physics, both in the subject and in the level of cognitive activity in the lessons has decreased noticeably The article analyzes the results of our research on the problem of increasing the cognitive activity of high school students at studying physics. During the school year, a questionnaire survey of students of the X-XI classes of the Zaporozhye region was carried out. To conduct the study, questionnaires were developed to identify the causes that affect the students’ interest in studying the subject and determining the level of cognitive activity at physics lessons. The infl uence of practice-oriented learning on the formation of knowledge, abilities and skills of high school students in the study of physics was also investigated.
