Analysis of Two-Phase Flow Characteristics in Ribbed Cooling Channel of Micron Dust Turbine

Abstract
The internal cooling channel with rib turbulators was simulated to investigate the characteristics of gas-particle two-phase flow pattern by using large eddy simulation ( LES) and micron dust elastic-plastic collision theory. According to the particle elastic-plastic contact theory and the property prediction model of micron dust material, the curve of the wall impact recovery coefficient of micron dust-nickel-based single crystal material with the impact angle was obtained. The drag force, saffman lift force, pressure gradient force and the two phase flow theory were all considered in the particle-wall collision model. The transport characteristics of micron dust in the cooling channel was achieved in this model. The simulation results show that the lareger dust particles are more likely to transport in central channel, while the small ones are more dispersive. The existence of eddy current near the wall makes the dust concentrate easily around the ribs, which increases the probability of dust deposition in the cooling channel.
