ANALYSIS OF UNOFFICIAL DOLLARIZATION TRENDS IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The dynamics of unofficial dollarization in Ukraine is analyzed by using various methods of estimation. In particular, deposit dollarization, credit dollarization and dollarization of the monetary aggregate M3 (broad money) are calculated. The trends of operations of the population with foreign currencies are highlighted in the article. The main causes of dollarization in Ukraine are determined and the effect of its hysteresis is analyzed. Conclusions about a high dollarization of the Ukrainian economy are made and ways of its reduction are proposed in the article.
