Analytical Investigation to Nonlinear Vibration of an Electrical Machine Supported by Nonlinear Bearings
Journal Title: Romanian Journal of Acoustics and Vibration - Year 2009, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
In this paper we analytically investigate the nonlinear behavior of an electrical machine supported by nonlinear bearings characterized by a nonlinear stiffness of Duffing type. The Optimal Homotopy Asymptotic Method is employed to obtain analytical approximate solutions. Complementary numerical solutions were obtained via a fourth-order Runge–Kutta method and an excellent agreement between the solutions obtained through OHAM and the numerical computations was observed, which demonstrate the reliability and efficiency of OHAM. The results obtained by using the proposed method can be directly employed to predict the dynamic behaviour of the rotating electric machine.

The paper presents an experimental stand for testing a semi-active damper with magnetorheological fluid (MRF.) For reduce costs and time of execution, the solution has been found is to alter a Charpy pendulum. Are detail...
Behaviour Response of Earthmoving Machine in a Loading Process
This paper present a conclusive remarks about the dynamic analysis and simulations, regarding the behaviour of an earthmoving machine in direct evolution under the basic technological process. Thus, one of the major phen...
Evaluation of Absorption Coefficient of Biodegradable Composite Materials with Textile Inserts
The paper focuses on experimental evaluation of acoustic properties of biodegradable composite materials with textile inserts used in products with protective role in urban habitat. To determine the absorption and reflec...
Criteria of Stability for Equilibriums Described by Polynomial Characteristic Equations
In this paper are given some new criteria of stability for the equilibrium positions obtained by solving third, fourth and fifth degrees polynomials. These equations appear when the equation of motion has the form ẍ=f(x)...
Noise Measurements in Urban Environment
This paper presents some results obtained on diminishing the noise generated by transportation means in urban environment, with application to Timişoara City. Starting from the results of measurements, noise abatement me...
