Journal Title: International Research Journal of Applied and Basic Sciences - Year 2013, Vol 6, Issue 9
Abstract
This study looks into the factors influencing the acceptation and dispersion of knowledge management systems in West of Iran. The study uses a mixed methodology approach. The research was accomplished in three phases: field study, pilot survey, and state survey (top 300 companies). The data of the survey in West of Iran was analyzed through Partial Least Square approach. Results show that ‘‘individual factors’’, ‘‘external motivating, ‘‘organizational factors’’ and ‘‘task complexity’’ are the significant factors which determine the ‘‘perceived utility ’’ of knowledge management systems, which successively significantly determines the ‘‘intention’’ to adopt knowledge management systems and the dispersion process. Some unexpected results are also disclosed. The results furnish practical propose ions to those companies who are embarking on the acceptation and dispersion of knowledge management systems in Iran or else where.
